Turn empty half gallon jugs into a variety of items  from watering cans to plastic scoops!

EQUIPMENT & MATERIALS NEEDED:

EMPTY HALF GALLON JUG

CRAFT KNIFE

CHALK PAINT

PAINT BRUSH

CHALKBOARD LABELS

WHITE CHALK MARKER

PLANT OF YOUR CHOICE  (WE USED BASIL)

OPTIONAL: EXTRA POTTING SOIL.

STEP 1:
STARTING AT THE TOP OF THE CONTAINER, MARK OUT YOUR LINES SO THE GALLON JUG WILL BE SPLIT INTO 3 PIECES. A HORIZONTAL LINE ACROSS THE BOTTOM BASE OF THE JUG A LINE SEPARATING THE HANDLE FROM THE CAP ANGLED IN THE SHAPE OF A "V".

STEP 2:
SEPARATE THE 3 PIECES. USE THE BOTTOM HALF FOR A PLANTER AND IF YOU WANT THE TOP PIECES
FOR A PLASTIC GARDEN SOIL OR PET FOOD SCOOP. (DIRECTIONS BELOW)

STEP 3:
CLEAN UP THE EDGES WITH YOUR CRAFT KNIFE OR SCISSORS SO THE TOP OF THE CUT
IS FLAT AND SMOOTH. CHOOSE A COLOR OF CHALK PAINT.

STEP 4:
PAINT THE BOTTOM OF THE CONTAINER AND LET DRY FOR A FEW HOURS.

STEP 5:
ONCE THE PAINT IS DRY. LABEL YOUR PLANT OR WINDOW HERB USING THE CHALKBOARD STICKERS
AND CHALK MARKER (REGULAR CHALK WORKS TOO).

PLACE YOUR PLANT ON A WINDOW, TABLE, OR DESK DEPENDING ON WHAT YOU PLANT INSIDE!

ONCE YOU HAVE THE CUT TWO PIECES CUT OUT. PLACE THE PIECE WITH THE HANDLE INSIDE THE PIECE WITH THE SPOUT. MARK AND CUT ANY OVERHANGING PLASTIC SO THE SIDES ARE EVEN.

STEP 4:
ONE THE INSIDE OF THE PIECE WITH THE SPOUT PLACE A FEW GLUE DOTS ON THE SIDES AND BOTTOM.
